Are you looking for something to do after school? Look no further, registration for Pingaurd for our 6-12th graders and Dodgeball for our 4-6 grade students is open.

✨How to register and pay for activities at KCS✨
1. Sign into your parent portal on Infinite Campus.
2. On the right of the screen click on “My Accounts”
3. Then click on “Optional Payments”
4. Click on “Add to Cart” for what activity you are registering for (Pin Guard) a. If you have more than one student, make sure you have the correct student selected in the top right corner.
5. Go to “My Cart” and follow prompts to register/pay.

The KCS School Board meets monthly to ensure the vision and goals of Kaleidoscope are being met. This is achieved by creating and adopting policies and maintaining fiscal responsibilities. Meetings are open to the public and we encourage people to attend.

There are many things happening in the coming months that are
very important to the current status and future of KCS.

Candidates for the 2026 Minnesota Teacher of the Year have been announced, and Kaleidoscope has two educators who were nominated.
Mr. Young and Mr. Verke are among the 128 candidates for the award statewide. Congratulations!

📢Accepting Enrollment Lottery Applications!
Our 2026-2027 Enrollment Lottery is open, and families are invited to apply now! Our Enrollment Lottery application closes January 31st. We encourage all interested families to visit our campus and learn more about what makes our community special.

For Friday, January 23, 2026, KCS will be closed due to the extremely cold temperatures and wind chills. This will be an eLearning Day for students in grades 1-12. Parents will be receiving an email with details about the eLearning Day plan, from Mr. Nordmann.


Also, there will be no after school activities and the Comet Kids program will be closed.

Governor Tim Walz has proclaimed the week of January 19-25, 2026 as Paraprofessional Recognition Week! Paraprofessionals work in a variety of positions and are included in a range of important school roles.

We want to thank all of our paraprofessionals for all they do for the students, staff, and families of KCS!

We invite you to serve on our American Indian Parent Advisory Committee. By serving on this committee, you would have the opportunity to provide KCS with valuable input as we work to strengthen our curriculum and supports for our American Indian students. The advisory committee will also meet to review student goals as set forth in our Comprehensive Achievement and Civic Readiness Report.
