English Learners

Kaleidoscope Charter School's program for students that are English Learners (EL) students emphasizes language acquisition and helps students with cultural adjustment.

Our EL program aims to help students develop their speaking, listening, reading, and writing skills to be successful in the general education classroom. Most services our EL program provides are pull-out services, meaning that students leave their general education classrooms to work one-on-one or in small groups with our licensed EL teacher. At times, push-in services may also be provided, which means that the EL teacher works with the students in their general education classrooms.

Our program also seeks to help students understand the American culture while encouraging them to share their backgrounds with others, as they play an important role in our multicultural society.
