Executive Director Search
Welcome to our New Executive Director, Bradley Sellner!
Dear KCS Community,
We are very grateful for the dedicated and accomplished work of Ms. Erendu, our
Interim Director, who joined us following the departure of Mr. Okerlund last year. She
has been fundamental to keeping the school moving forward as the Board completed
the extensive process of choosing the school’s next leader. The plan, along with hiring
an Interim Executive Director last year, was to conduct a comprehensive search for a
(non-Interim) Executive this spring. During the past few months, the KCS School Board
has partnered with the Minnesota School Boards Association in conducting a search for
an Executive Director.
We would like to introduce Mr. Bradley Sellner, our new Executive Director. Mr. Sellner
brings to KCS decades of wide-ranging experience in education, including curriculum
leadership, teaching, and various levels of school and school district administration.
Currently, Mr. Sellner is finishing his 14th year as the Superintendent of Howard-Lake
Waverly Winsted Schools. Prior to that, he worked for several years in the Monticello
School District.
Mr. Sellner has demonstrated a strong commitment to collaboration both within and
outside his school district and the ability to nurture the sense of community among
students, families, and staff that is so cherished at KCS. The Board believes that he has
the qualities and experience necessary to lead KCS in the coming years and help us
achieve our mission, vision, and strategic priorities. Please join us in welcoming Mr.
Sellner and extending your support as he joins the KCS team this summer. Ms. Erendu
plans to remain in her role as Interim Executive Director until June to ensure the stability
of the school during the transition.
