Will the Strategic Plan reduce the freedom that teachers have in their classrooms?

For the past five years, teachers at KCS have been evaluated using a performance rubric that is aligned with the Charlotte Danielson Framework for Teaching. The framework is designed to help define what quality teaching looks like, but it does not give preference to any specific instructional strategy or teaching style. KCS will continue to utilize the Danielson framework and will be focusing on making sure that all of our teachers show acceptable levels of performance on each of the domains of the framework. The domains of the framework are planning and preparation, the classroom environment, instruction and professional responsibilities.
