Will Kaleidoscope continue to be a school that utilizes Project Based Learning?
-
While Kaleidoscope has been a school that has embraced the use of projects, Kaleidoscope has never actually been a school that officially uses the Project Based Learning model. The official Project Based Learning model is characterized by:
- Extended work on a project (often multiple weeks or even months).
- All students, or groups of students, working on projects that are unique to them.
- Students having a voice in project design process. This means that they have a say in what they are going to create and how they are going to do it.
Kaleidoscope believes it is important for teachers to utilize hands-on projects to encourage students to become problem solvers.
