I have been in education since 1992. I first taught in Bloomington at a Montessori school. Then, I moved to Albertville and have been teaching in this wonderful area since 2000.  Kaleidoscope has been my home away from home since its start in 2004.

My husband and I have two sons, 10 chickens, a parakeet named Cheeks, and a puppy named Gypsy.  Besides teaching, I am a Wright County Master Gardener, MN Naturalist volunteer, and a continual learner.  I graduated from Mankalo State University, and have taken many courses from St. Catherine's, Hamline University, University of Minnesota, and presently St. Cloud State University.

I enjoy gardening, fishing, exploring the great outdoors, and being with my friends and family.

Mrs. Kimberly Dierks (Art)

Hello! My name is Kimberly Dierks and I will be teaching K-3 Art this year. I have always had a passion for art and for teaching, so I am very excited to be able to do both! I obtained my Bachelor's degree in Elementary Education through Bemidji State University. I also have a background in Graphic Design. Over the past three years I have worked with a mentor and subbed in the Buffalo-Hanover-Montrose School District, specifically at Discovery Elementary School in Buffalo, MN. Our family has lived in Otsego, MN for the past four years. My husband, Adam, and I have two children, Emma (2) and Blake (5). In my spare time I enjoy reading, painting, drawing, baking, crafts, and spending time with my family. This year is going to be filled with amazing learning opportunities for both the students and myself! Part of my goal as an educator is to spark curiosity and creativity in the minds of children, as well as presenting them with challenging, problem-solving opportunities. I hope to excite your child about the world of art and broaden his or her interests and techniques!
